SunTel Services Celebrates 25th Anniversary as a Thriving Michigan Company
Posted on 11/4/2011
Serving as a technology partner to more than 1,000 customers and supporting more than 2,500 communication systems, SunTel installs, manages, monitors and maintains services for voice, data, video and enterprise networks for businesses across the state. The company prides itself on understanding the specialized needs of its clients and on being “big enough to complete complex projects but small enough provide personal service.”
Starting out in 1986 primarily offering phone systems, SunTel has evolved and expanded its offerings with each “new” technological shift over the past two decades, such as internal computer networks, email, Internet, network security, unified networks and managing customer networks remotely. In the ever-changing world of information technology, the company has flourished – while many of its competitors have not – by choosing measured, profitable growth and working closely with its customers.
“We are proud to celebrate this landmark achievement of 25 years and also to celebrate the ongoing commitment of our customers, partners and employees,” said Gary Jackson, President, SunTel Services. “Being in such a fast paced and dynamic industry, keeping our minds open to new ideas and changing technology has allowed us to continue to transform our business to meet customer demands and maintain a strong team of talented people.”
Not only has SunTel weathered Michigan’s economic downturn and remained profitable, it has also expanded its staff by nearly 25 percent during the past two years, while many other companies were downsizing. Excluding the company’s most recent additions, average tenure at SunTel is 15 years, attesting to strong leadership, stability and company environment.
“We are proud to be a Michigan company,” said Jackson.
Achieving 25 years of such steady and constant success, SunTel marks its success on four pillars:
Customer Focus
– the company offers its clients a world class Customer Care Center, an extensive parts inventory and 24/7 support.
Quality People
– SunTel is managed by hands-on leadership and its staff has a combined 1,500 years of experience.
Partner Stability
– SunTel’s technology partners are market share leaders that offer leading edge products.
Financial Strength
– the company has been profitable since it began and has a strong equity in business.
“Making this milestone doesn’t mean we’ll be resting on our accomplishments,” added Jackson. “SunTel is dedicated to staying on top of the evolution of communications, from virtualization and cloud computing, to the continued explosion of smart devices and service management. Unifying and harnessing these technologies to meet our clients’ communication challenges is our future focus.”
